What Milly Wore: Valentines with Asda!

Hi everyone, Hope you've has a lovely valentines!
Whether your taken or single, its a great excuse to get dressed up :)
You may or may not know I've been with my boyfriend Neil for just over 9 years,
and we're not really into going out, so we've had a quiet night in and it's been lovely.

I was lucky enough to be sent this gorgeous outfit to wear by George at Asda

I chose this gorgeous knitted dress
It's called the Graduate Fashion Week Knitted Midi Dress and is £18
it's currently sold out online, but you may be able to find it instore.
Or they have a similar one in a maxi style here

Designed by the winner of the knitwear award at Graduate Fashion Week Caitlin Charles-Jones
It's black and orange, and has a gorgeous geometric illusion pattern on it
and it's very slimming and flattering.
I got my usual size 14, but actually could have sized down to a 12.

I was also sent a surprise accessory!!
which was this great gold and black necklace with triangles that is £6
it goes really well, with the shapes theme and it's a good length for the neckline

I wore my asda goodies with:

Long sleeved black t-shirt (underneath) - Primark

Long sleeved black cardigan - New Look
It's pretty cold so layering up was essential!

Black Leggings - Matalan

Black Leather Waist Belt - Warehouse (many moons ago)

Black leather biker boots - Clarks Majorca Sun (lasy year or the year before)

Black leather barrel bag with gold studs - Deena and Ozzy - Urban Outfitters (sale last year)

Todays Make-Up:
Face - Lancome Foundation - Tient Idole Ultra 24h shade 005 (palest)
No7 pressed finishing powder
MAC Mineralize Skinfinish Lightscapade
Bronzer - MAC Wonder Woman Pink Power Mineralize Skinfinish

Eyes - Urban Decay Alice in Wonderland Book of Shadows
Charlotte Tillbury Colour Chameleon Morphing Eye Shadow Pencil - Bronzed Garnet

Lips - Mac Vegas Volt Lipstick

Did you wear anything special today??

New Arrival: Spring Update

I'm trying to save for a car,
but I keep buying pretty things instead!
Here are some of the thing I've bought over the last few weeks :)
I love this necklace, it arrived today but it had a £10 sticker on it,
I phoned to complain and they've agreed to refund me the difference.
Happy Bunny!
These tees are great, I've always loved Lulu Guinness with her iconic lip print
but her main line is way out of my price range.
They're pretty cheap and will go with a lot, I especially love the peter pan collar.
I ordered Swimming (the ones with the extra studds on the toes) for £99 (reduced from £260)
and received Swim (the ones without the studs on the toe) which is worth £59 (reduced from £240)
Needless to say I was a bit miffed, but once again they will be refunding the difference!
I do love them though, great to toughen up a floral dress.

I bought a follow the white rabbit jumper from T.O.A before christmas
and I've lived in it, so comfy, warm and such cute designs.
So when I saw this fox print one I just had to get it!

I really like the prints Celia Birtwell creates.I loved her topshop collab a few years back too.
I bought the dress in 3 colours, it'll be great for summer.
The skinny jeggings are amazing and they fit so well I'm tempted to buy another pair.or two!

So that's what I've been buying,
have you been eyeing up anything in particular??

What Milly Wore: Lady in Red

Hi folks!

I'm currently super busy,
but I realise I need to make more of an effort with my outfit posts!
I wear nice clothes all the time but always forget to document them.

Here is what I wore out to dinner on mothers day:

Black Leather 'Owain' Biker Jacket: Allsaints £200 reduced from £400 last year
I LOVE this jacket, it is probably my favourite item that I own.
I'm glad I splashed out on it when I had the money.

Brass Skull Necklace: Galibardy
I've mentioned Galibardy a few times before on my blog
I like pretty much all of their designs.
They are great quality and always unique,
this necklace was a gift from my bestie at christmas :)

Red & Green Patent Apple Shaped Bag: Topshop
I've had this for ages and it's just so gosh darn cute!

Red Lace Tulle Dress: Primark
This dress was pretty cheap for what it is.
I like that it's quite girley without being all pink and pastels, you know?
It's quite a statement so I havn't worn it much
but it's great for occasions.

Leggings: primark (as always)
yep still my favourite leggings.

Red Leather 'Fawcett' Boots: Office Sale £20  reduced from £70 ish a good few years ago
I have 5 pairs of these boots in all different colours!
(Black, Mushroom, Grey, Burgundy, Red)
I started with the mushroom pair and wore them pretty much every day
(before I started my blog) and then gradually collected the other colours
as they are so comfy and versatile.
They are good quality real leather and I just haven't got round to
wearing in this red pair yet, they take a few weeks to become perfect!

That's about it guys and gals,
let me know what you think!

Fashion Fix: Funky Bling Jewellery

Hey there readers,
A bit of a different post here today,
I thought I'd introduce you to a brand I have fallen in LOVE with

Through the joys of the internet I got in touch with the lovely lady behind Funky Bling
as I wanted to find where I could buy her jewelery online,
and the answer was you couldn't!

Funky Bling pieces have been spotted on some MAJOR celebs,
(including Nicki Minaj, Little Mix, Will.I.Am)
and I wanted to get my mitts on some.

To cut a long story short, we became friends,
and I helped her out with some web design,
and she now has a web shop www.funkybling.bigcartel.com
YAY

She makes amazing cuffs & necklaces, all made from laser cut acrylic
in various styles and colours, saying whatever you like!

The prices vary depending on how many Swarofski Crystals are added
( for me you can never have to many)
But prices start at around £55 for the smaller necklaces
up to around £160 for the fully 'blinged' custom cuffs.

I was kindly sent some pieces as payment for my work
and OMG I love them, I'm such a lucky girl :)

I got the Dream On Necklace
and a Fully Blinged Custom Cuff saying 'Milly'
I stuck with black and white so they would be easy to team
with anything in my wardrobe.

Can you tell I'm chuffed with them :D
The dream on necklace is the same one that Little Mix wore on the Xfactor,
except theirs said Little Mix obvs!

So yes,
This brand is about to hit the big time,
having been featured in many magazines including Vogue (swoon)
and the lovely lady behind it is beautiful and awesome too!

I definitely recommend them

Check out their Facebook Twitter & Shop

Muchos Love

xXx

*Jewellery was given to me as payment for some web/graphic design work. All opinions are my own and I would neither work for nor promote a brand I didn't genuinely love. Funky Bling is awesome. Full Stop ;)

What Milly Wore: Purple Rain

Hi Guys,
hope you've all had a lovely week
and you're all getting used to the fact that it's nearly February and getting colder!

I was lucky enough to be contacted by Daxon
and asked if I would like to choose an item to feature on my blog.
Daxon are branching into Plus Sized clothing,
so I was interested to see what they had available.
As a size 14, I'm at that awkward size where I'm not quite plus size,
but a bit big for some shops!
But as someone from a family of  *ahem* curvier ladies
I gladly took them up on their offer.

When looking at their website it's easy to skim over and think that it's aimed at a more mature lady,
or that they are not very fashion forward,
but I really would no be so quick to write them off.
I really feel you can take staple pieces such as this jacket and add it to any wardrobe,
you can style up in your own way, give it your own twist if you will.
As I hope I've proved with this post.

The jacket is extremely good quality,
much better than you would find on much of the high street,
I was really impressed with the suedette fabric, it feels really soft and authentic
and I love the faux leather piping too.
It's so well made and is a joy to wear :)

As Daxon go from a size 14-36 I think it's a great place to try
if you are struggling to find great quality clothing
in your size.

In this outfit I Wore:

Purple Suedette Quilted Jacket: C/O Daxon £49

Galaxy Print Grey Cardigan: Asos (a few years ago)

Multi Galaxy Wolf Dress: Motel @ Topshop (also ages ago)

Grey T-Shirt Dress (worn underneath): H&M

Black Treggings: Next £18 (new)

Galaxy / Glitter Print Duffle Bag: Peter Pilotto for Kipling

Leopard Wired Hair Band: Dolly Bow Bow

Future Mystic Small Crescent Gem Shapes Necklace: Tatty Devine

Grey Suede Felix Boots: Kurt Geiger £35 Sale

I'm loving:

Orange Hair -
Dyed my hair a lovely shade of copper/orange

Working a lot means I am really appreciating a 15 minute make-up routine,
including a neutral eye, not as nice as this one though!

Magnetic & Glitter Nail Varnish -
I got loads of magnetic nail varnish for Christmas and I'm loving experimenting with it,
also cant get enough of my Deborah Lippmann glitter polishes!

Pyjamas -
Snuggly Pyjamas ftw :) Got some gorgeous M&S ones.

Christmas Socks -
Whether it's just around the house or peeking over the top of my boots
I'm living in patterned Christmas socks right now.

Biker Boots -
I'm Milly and I'm addicted to biker boots
real leather of course and the more studs  the better

Clashing Prints -
there are so many different kinds of prints I love right now,
galaxy,  fairisle, aztec, navajo, floral, digital, graphic etc
and there is nothing I love more than wearing them all at once!

Rucksacks/Backpacks -
I got the ahmahzing Lazy Oaf Space rucksack for Christmas
and it seems to just go with everything!
I also appreciate that it doesn't fall off your shoulders all the time.

Diet Coke -
I love it, nuff said!

Clinique Chubby Sticks -
Part of my afore mentioned quick make-up look are my clinique chubby sticks,
I have 4 and they add a great pop of hydrating colour

Vintage Scarves -
Whether its tied to my bag, worn as a belt or just around my neck
I love to add a vintage scarf to my outfit, especially chain print ones.

Aztec Duffle Coat -
EEEPP I got this urban outfitters printed blanket duffle coat for Christmas
and I am never taking it off EVER

Chunky knitted snoods wrapped round tonnes of times
make me happy.

and I love wearing them with otherwise demure outfits ;)

I love to snooze, nap sleep etc
especially in the middle of the day with a cat by my side!

Lust After: Birthday Wishlist

Hey guys,
It's not long untill my 23rd birthday (eeep getting older)
and friends and family have asked for ideas of the kind of thing I would like
So Here is my birthday wishlist:

Pirates of the Caribbean 3 rings necklace :  Disney Couture
£39.00 via Zentosa

I pretty much love anything disney couture,
so it doesn't have to be this specific necklace,
I love all of the collections including Alice in Wonderland,
Pirates of the Caribbean, Peter Pan, Little Mermaid, Cinderella
and their new collab with Mawi!

The two best sites for Disney Couture I have found are

You know I love a bargain so its even better if its in the sale,
and always look for a discount or free shipping code
by looking at the websites facebook pages and general voucher sites!

Beetle Necklace: £14.00
Both By Galibardy

I put something Galibardy on my list every year
I think all of there designs are so inventive and quirky,
and they're all really good quality brass so will not bend or break!
I like almost everything they sell!

Chic on a Shoe String
&
How to make Jewellery (with Tatty Devine)

(both available via Amazon etc)

I love to get crafty
and although I'm not a huge reader both of these books caught my eye
They would both be great for flicking through  for a project on a rainy day

TeaCup Charm: Pandora

I have a Pandora Bracelet and a Chamilia Bracelet
and I would really love any addition to my charm collection :)
Just stick with plain silver and you cant go wrong!
Anything cupcake, tea, heart, lightning bolt, cute, anchor, deer, bird,
related would be right up my street!

Fairytale Mug £5.00 Paperchase

Paperchase it one of my favourite shops of all time!
I just wish there was one nearer :(
I love the illustrations on this mug they are so cute
but I also like their stickers, noodle bowls, stationary EVERYTHING

Brown Owl Feather Print Snood £13.00
Cupcake Beanie £13.00

I'm still loving digital, aztec, and illustrated prints so anything like that
on a bag scarf etc would be amazing!
and I love a good comedy hat :p

This probably look really boring but I need another one or two of these
for jewellery storage and just never get round to buying it
so it would be a great practical present!

Topshop is my favourite place to shop
and the dalmation print pumps are just gorgeous (I'd need a size 5) :)

Seriously though, some people might think vouchers are a let down
but I would LOVE vouchers for anywhere like Topshop, River Island or New Look

If you need any more inspiration just look at my blog or tumblr!

Think fairisle, navajo, digital, leather, illustrated, typography
galaxy, animal print, studded, baroque, kitsch, tacky,
skulls, deers, antlers, birds!

I'd love: socks, picture frames, bags, jewellery, trinket/make-up boxes
scarfs, pyjamas, homewares!

pphewww,
that's it,
hope that's helped you dear F&F of mine
and readers I hope it's been interesting for you to read too!
