Topshop Sale April 2013: What Milly Bought!

Why hello there!
The topshop sale launched last week
and I picked up quite a few bits that I thought I would share with you!
The first thing I bought (full price) is this gorgeous sweatshirt.
It's super comfy and reminds me of quite a few wildfox couture jumpers!

Comic Pop Art Sweat £18 (reduced from £30)
I think this print is so fun, great for a lazy weekend.
I just wish one of them said bazzinga!

Spray effect slip £10 (reduced from £18)
I thought this would be good for summer,
may be over a white t-shirt with a tan belt and sandals?

Moto Stud Western Denim Shirt £15 (reduced from £38)
At over 50% off I thought this shirt was a bargain.
I wear my blue denim shirt quite often so this should be a good addition to my wardrobe

Burgundy Speckle roll sleeve mini dress £12 (reduced from £26)
Again I thought this would be a great summer staple
and could be worn in many different ways

Red and Navy sweater dress £15 (reduced from £30)
I've already worn this and it's great!
I wouldn't quite call it a sweater dress though,
it's not particularly thick.
I do love the pockets though, they were a great addition.

Polkadot Bodycon Dress in Red & Green both £15 (reduced from £29)
I love these dresses
The print is great, cant wait to style them all retro!
They do fit small though I had to size up.
Oxblood full skater skirt £20 (reduced from £38)
I've been looking for a leather look skirt for ages and this fits the bill!
It's not the most flattering thing in the world, as it is pretty full
but I like it anyway.

Tall flecked midi dress purple £18 (reduced from £29)
Obviously I am not tall,
but if I like the look of something I ignore the size, or whether it's tall, petite, or for men!
and just see if something looks right on me,
and this does!
Tall wings burn out sweat £15 (reduced from £28)
Again it's tall but it doesn't look any different tbh.
Love the wing/feather print, and it's nice and lightweight too.
Maveriq Heavy Studded Slippers Grey £18 (reduced from £32)
I loved the vectra pumps I've had for a good while,
and I'm just as impressed with the maveriq style.
I own them in black with silver, khaki with rose gold
and now this taupe colour with rose gold.
They do not look grey as they are names, or as pink as in the pic though!

Shapewear skirt £7 (reduced from £14)
I'm not hugely into shapewear,
however I bought this skirt to try because of the price
and first impressions are it's brilliant!
It's not so tight that I cant breathe,
and it gives a nice silhouette.
It's also pretty high waisted which I prefer

Shapewear Shorts £5 (reduced from £12)
These are pretty much the same as the skirt.
I often wear cycling shorts under summer dresses
so these should be pretty useful!

Well that's everythong!
Did you splurge in the topshop sale?

New Arrival: Spring Update

I'm trying to save for a car,
but I keep buying pretty things instead!
Here are some of the thing I've bought over the last few weeks :)
I love this necklace, it arrived today but it had a £10 sticker on it,
I phoned to complain and they've agreed to refund me the difference.
Happy Bunny!
These tees are great, I've always loved Lulu Guinness with her iconic lip print
but her main line is way out of my price range.
They're pretty cheap and will go with a lot, I especially love the peter pan collar.
I ordered Swimming (the ones with the extra studds on the toes) for £99 (reduced from £260)
and received Swim (the ones without the studs on the toe) which is worth £59 (reduced from £240)
Needless to say I was a bit miffed, but once again they will be refunding the difference!
I do love them though, great to toughen up a floral dress.

I bought a follow the white rabbit jumper from T.O.A before christmas
and I've lived in it, so comfy, warm and such cute designs.
So when I saw this fox print one I just had to get it!

I really like the prints Celia Birtwell creates.I loved her topshop collab a few years back too.
I bought the dress in 3 colours, it'll be great for summer.
The skinny jeggings are amazing and they fit so well I'm tempted to buy another pair.or two!

So that's what I've been buying,
have you been eyeing up anything in particular??

New Arrival: Bargain Chloe Erine Sunglasses

Eeeeeeeepppppp Chloe sunglasses!!
Excuse me while I cry with joy.
and breathe.....

Let me explain,
today I went for a little browse in my nearest big town
In tkmaxx I found the above sunglasses.
I instantly fell in love, and then I saw they were Chloe.

Now I'd seen similar Chloe sunglasses in tkmaxx before,
and they are always around £70 (which is still a lot lower than their RRP)
So wasn't to hopeful about actually buying them.
Then I turned the ticket over and saw that they were £12.99!
So obviously I bought them.

Since then I've done a bit of googling and found they are the
'Erine' Scallop sunglasses by Chloe in Plum
for sale here (in another colour) on ASOS
FOR £215 !!!!!

I cannot actually believe they should be over two hunded pounds
They're from tkmaxx so obviously they are not fake,
but I'm pretty sure they had the wrong price tag on them buy accident
or someone had swapped it??
Perhaps the ticket fell off and whoever worked their put a ticket
meant for another pair of sunglasses back on them?

Either way, it's safe to say I'm bloody chuffed with my £12.99 purchase
I will be living in these sunglasses all summer

don't you love a bargain??
Let me know your best ever buy in the comments :)

New Arrival: Summer Haul!

I've bought quite a lot of lovely things recently,
(I got paid from my lovely new job so I'm feeling a lot less poor)
so I thought I'd do a quick post to show you everything!!

Jubilee Print Dress £28 River Island

I bought this dress a couple of weeks ago and It's just gorgeous
I've worn it 3 times, and can't wait to wear it again!
Unfortunately it's now sold out online but it's worth checking your local store,
and they've got some other cute British themed dresses.

This dress is so pretty
I love the floral print and it's 70's style
It comes up pretty big so size down,
and I'll deffo be cinching my waist in with a belt,
or it could look a little tenty!

Clarks are currently doing 20% off everything
So being a clarks fan (hello comfort!)
I popped down to my local shop.
I was not looking for anything like these but I spied them on display
and just had to try them on, and once they were on my feet
well I just had to have them.
I do not do heels at all,
but I can actually walk in these, and they're so so yellow!
The sandals are ahmahzing!
I saw them on London Beauty Queens blog (here)
and ordered them straight away.
I do not like my feet very much,
but if I'm going to have to get them out
it might as well be in these babies.

While I was ordering my sandals,
I came across this t-shirt dress
I think it's good value for £25,
it's comfy and looks fab on.

I bought a couple of chubby sticks when they very first launched
and now they've bought out new colours I had to go back for more
So I now have:
Chunky Cherry
Mega Melon
Woppin Watermelon
Pudgy Peony
& Oversized Orange
I just can't get enough of them!
I've now got my eye on Voluptuous Violet & Two Ton Tomato

What have been your favourite buys recently?

Fashion Fix: New Arrivals - Maxi Skirts and Americana

Well Uni is very nearly over,
all hand ins over with,
all work being marked!
Just the Exhibition to be taken down tomorrow
Phew
If any of you guys follow me on twitter you will know I had one of my wisdom teeth taken out a couple of days ago (Sorry It's all I've been tweeting about!)
But I'm starting to feel better,
and need to get back in the swing of things,
Including blogging!
So Here's what I've bought recently:

Pleated Maxi Skirt: £51 American Apparel

Sheer Maxi Skirt : £52 American Apparel

Huge Lipstick Pendant: Danielle Scutt for Topshop £16.50
American Flag Shorts: £34 Topshop
Both the skirts are lovely, kinda expensive but I did have a 25% off code at the time so that softened the blow. I've been after some floaty maxi / midi skirts for a while, inspired by other bloggers like A Little Bird Told Me , Cheap Thrills , ColorMeNana , and BowDreamNation

I love the Lipstick Necklace, It's so awesome, like a weapon! you should really check out the rest of the range, Danielle Scutts designs are incredible and much more affordable from the topshop concession!

And onto the Americana shorts I really like them I do, bit I think I'm going to have to send them back, they would look awesome on other people, but they are just to short for me, even with tights or leggings underneath!

Oh well! Expect more posts soon, and another Clothes Twins post with Hannah next week

Lust After / New Arrival: Wrap Up Warm

Hey Guys & Dolls

Once again I am lusting after many items at the moment
here are just a few:

Galaxy Print Bags: Peter Paulotti for Kipling!
I cannot wait for these bags to come out,
I'm deffo going to be purchasing one, which shape I'm not sure
I can never resist galaxy print!
They should be out on the 17th this month
so not too long to wait
Im assuming they will be around the £80 mark!

Socks!
I love a bit of fairisle and when I saw these on topshop.com I was like YUM
They look so pretty and warm,
perfect with some worker boots and leggings
£3.99 a pair Topshop

This week Ashish's collab with topshop arrived
and I just love this Parisian inspired t-shirt
£50 Ashish for Topshop

Chunky Reindeer Coatigan: Zara £59.99
It just looks so warm and cozy
I cannot get enough of patterned knits!

I'm also after some brown / tan chelsea boots
these are from River Island for £29.99 which is a bargain if you ask me!
I actually prefer a very similar pair from office but at twice the price they may have to wait!

I love the Barbour jacket look, but definitely don't want to pay the price
so this quilted hunter jacker from River Island is just the job for £39.99
I've been after a jacket like this for such a long time
and wouldn't have bought it, if I hadn't already bought two navy blue coats recently.

and here is what I've been Buying:

I compromised and bought this khaki barbour style jacket, also £39.99 from River Island
I slightly prefer the navy, but thought it was pointless owning hundreds of navy coats.
I think really I would have preferred brown, but its not made in brown
so khaki it is, and I love how it looks on!

This is one of my navy coats
£59.99 Zara
very similar to a topshop one from last year
It's just so cute!
and its knitted so its super comfy

But I cant wear it yet as I ordered it online
and when it arrived I found it still had the plastic security tag attached!
I was livvid, what a stupid thing to do!
I've emailed them and am still waiting for a reply,
what am I supposed to do??

And finally I bought this aviator jacket  also from Zara for £39.99
Its lovely on, and satisfies my flying / sheepskin / aviator jacket itch
whilst being quite a bit cheaper than similar ones from topshop!

Is there anything you've been lusting after?
Treated yourself to anything recently?
I would love to hear about it!

Lust After / New Arrival: Winter Drop!

OK so I totally skipped day 7 oh well!
On Sunday I tidied my entire room, which is practically unheard of
and the boyf put all my pictures up on my wall for me and I totally love it!

Heres a quick looksie at what I've been buying,
and what I've been trying not to buy this week!

Bought:

Studded Boots
£50 AllSaints
Reduced fron £220!!
I luff them.... Lots

In the end I ordered this Aztec Cape / Blanket from Topshop!
It came online and a day after it sold out, it was only after it sold out I realised how much I wanted it
so when it came back into stock I ordered it straight away!
£36

I also discovered it had been put on line in this colour too

and I couldn't decide..
So I ordered both colours and may be sending one back once they arrive
£36 Topshop

And I thought while I was there I might as well spend enough to get free delivery right??

So I added this t-shirt
as it fulfils my loves of grey marl, oversized tees, and galaxy prints!
£22 Topshop

I also ordered these boots
Oh I love a bit of embellishment on an ankle boot!
£38 Topshop
which is pretty good for a leather boot,
I hope they fit me!

Aztec Snood
just yummy right??
Loving aztec, intarsia, navajo patterned knits or whatever you want to call it
and I thought this would be a nice way of adding a splash
to an otherwise plain coat or outfit!
£20 ASOS
(ASOS have 15% off own branded items atm with code AWSTYLE15)

I am trying not to buy:
Well you might notice that these are similar to the other Topshop boots I've ordered
I actually saw these first,
but plumped for the spangley ones in the end as always!
£35 Topshop

This item is such a bargain
I'm really trying to resist, but wow
I want it... a lot!
Butterfly Bag by my favourite bag designers Angel Jackson
£149.99 reduced from £475 !!!!!!
at Urban Outfitters

I want these quite a bit
we sell them at my work so I can get a discount on them
and also I could wear them to work for the whole winter
how comfy and lovely
might have to get them!
£135 Fitflop Mukluk in Amethyst

I'm totally excited about winter clothes
a lot
all I need now is a faux fur hat with ears
and I'm not joking, I'm on the look out!
