The Christmas Jumper Challenge Day 12: Tacky Vintage Christmas

So Christmas is over!
Hope you all had a lovely one, I'm not back at work just yet
so although I'm full of cold I'm grateful for the time off :)

So for my final Christmas outfit I wore:

Black leggings fom Matalan
Red & While Spotty/Polka-Dot Bodycon Dress from Topshop (sale, summer)
Check Bobble Beanie Hat from Miss Selfridge (sale a week or two ago)

I saved the best jumper till last!
This one was a present from my sister last Christmas
I challenged her to find me the tackiest, cheesiest xmas jumper
and she succeeded!
It's vintage and features a fully embellished applique Christmas house scene
complete with furry dog and teddy bear!

I used my Black Yasmin Rising Orb Tote by Vivienne Westwood
I thought the colours went really well.
This is one of my favourite bags, It was from My Wardrobe a couple of years ago,
and I'm dying to get my mitts on it in red.

Finally it was super cold so I finished with my trusty pale gold shimmer Uggs
that were from ASOS many moons ago.

And thats it,
Hope you've enjoyed this series and hopefully I'll continue blogging more in 2014!

Have a fabulous new year, and speak to you soon!

Topshop Sale April 2013: What Milly Bought!

Why hello there!
The topshop sale launched last week
and I picked up quite a few bits that I thought I would share with you!
The first thing I bought (full price) is this gorgeous sweatshirt.
It's super comfy and reminds me of quite a few wildfox couture jumpers!

Comic Pop Art Sweat £18 (reduced from £30)
I think this print is so fun, great for a lazy weekend.
I just wish one of them said bazzinga!

Spray effect slip £10 (reduced from £18)
I thought this would be good for summer,
may be over a white t-shirt with a tan belt and sandals?

Moto Stud Western Denim Shirt £15 (reduced from £38)
At over 50% off I thought this shirt was a bargain.
I wear my blue denim shirt quite often so this should be a good addition to my wardrobe

Burgundy Speckle roll sleeve mini dress £12 (reduced from £26)
Again I thought this would be a great summer staple
and could be worn in many different ways

Red and Navy sweater dress £15 (reduced from £30)
I've already worn this and it's great!
I wouldn't quite call it a sweater dress though,
it's not particularly thick.
I do love the pockets though, they were a great addition.

Polkadot Bodycon Dress in Red & Green both £15 (reduced from £29)
I love these dresses
The print is great, cant wait to style them all retro!
They do fit small though I had to size up.
Oxblood full skater skirt £20 (reduced from £38)
I've been looking for a leather look skirt for ages and this fits the bill!
It's not the most flattering thing in the world, as it is pretty full
but I like it anyway.

Tall flecked midi dress purple £18 (reduced from £29)
Obviously I am not tall,
but if I like the look of something I ignore the size, or whether it's tall, petite, or for men!
and just see if something looks right on me,
and this does!
Tall wings burn out sweat £15 (reduced from £28)
Again it's tall but it doesn't look any different tbh.
Love the wing/feather print, and it's nice and lightweight too.
Maveriq Heavy Studded Slippers Grey £18 (reduced from £32)
I loved the vectra pumps I've had for a good while,
and I'm just as impressed with the maveriq style.
I own them in black with silver, khaki with rose gold
and now this taupe colour with rose gold.
They do not look grey as they are names, or as pink as in the pic though!

Shapewear skirt £7 (reduced from £14)
I'm not hugely into shapewear,
however I bought this skirt to try because of the price
and first impressions are it's brilliant!
It's not so tight that I cant breathe,
and it gives a nice silhouette.
It's also pretty high waisted which I prefer

Shapewear Shorts £5 (reduced from £12)
These are pretty much the same as the skirt.
I often wear cycling shorts under summer dresses
so these should be pretty useful!

Well that's everythong!
Did you splurge in the topshop sale?

What Milly Wore: Before The Summer

Hi guys,
hope you're all well and enjoying the sun!
I found a few outfit pics that I took before it got so warm
so sorry if they seem a little inappropriate for the current weather.

I Wore:

Stretchy Black polka dot dress - New Look (sale last year)
this is a really versatile every day dress,
it has a kind of skater dress style which I find really flattering

Black skull necklace - Tarina Tarantino
I love love love all of tarina tarantino's jewellery,
this is one of here smaller more understated necklaces.

Black Leggings - Primarni

Black Jersey Waistcoat - New Look
I love this waistcoat,
it's great for adding an extra layer and it has pockets too!

Black Pixie boots - River Island
Folky Print Jersey Wrap Coat - Free People (ASOS sale £40 last year)
I just love this coatigan!
It's so snuggley, and I love the faux embroidery style print.
It's got a bit of a skirt to it too.

Here's a close up of the print on the back
cute eh!

What Milly Wore: Heart Shaped Pocket

Hey Guys and Gals
I'm currently tres tres bust starting a new job and all that
so I'm trying really hard not to neglect my blogging responsibilities!
So Here's an outfit I wore last week:

Bone Shaped Hair Clip: Kreepsville 666

Navajo Waterfall Tapestry Jacket: River Island, last year £40 ish
I've worn this jacket on the blog before,
it's a great extra layer, and I like that its a bit different
I've never seen anyone in anything similar.

Navy White & Tan Spotty Bag: River Island 2-3 years ago

Cream Treasure Chest Necklace: Disney Couture

Eiffel Tower Embroidered T-shirt: Topshop 1-2 years ago

White & Navy Cardigan: Topshop Sale £12 3-4 years ago

Black Leggings: Primarni

Mushroom Coloured Leather Boots: Office £90
These are another pair of my trusty office boots
very comfy, I love the way they look
and made from super soft leather :)

Denim Pencil Skirt: ASOS 4-5 years ago
I couldn't believe I could get this skirt on,
I have lost a bit of weight recently but not that much, maybe it's just stretchy!?
I just love the heart shaped pockets on this skirt
It makes an otherwise simple skirt very cute!

Once again I'm trying to wear items I've had for ages
and basically get my wear out of what I already own!

What Milly Wore: Skeleton You Are My Friend

Hello there all of you :)
I've been at work a lot this week, so I thought I'd post an outfit I wore a few days ago!

Burgundy chunky knit boyfriend cardigan - New Look (a good few months ago) £18 ish
This cardy is super warm and comfy,
and I really like the shawl style collar, it feels a little like a smoking jacket!

Black skull oversized t-shirt - Topshop 2 years ago £20 ish
This must be one of my most worn t-shirts,
I love the fit and length, and anything with skulls on is good with me.

Black turban - gift from a friend
My gbf was getting rid of some clothes
and this is one of the things I  ended up being given
turbans are great for bad hair days and are so much more chic than a beanie.

Black and white polka dot skinny jeans - ASOS 1-2 years ago (sale) £15 ish
I've worn these on the blog before,
they're just so easy to wear with everything, a definite staple of my wardrobe.

Nude coloured slouchy Padlock bag - Marks & Spencer, 2 years or so ago £35
Such a great bag, not real leather but it doesn't bother me.
you would never guess its from m&s!

Dalmatian / Leopard print heart ankle boots - Deena & Ozzy via Urban Outfitters (sale) £30
I got these just after christmas and I adore them,
they have that fuzzy pony skin type finish which is really cool.
They are super comfy too, which I wasn't expecting.

Hope you like it my loves

What Milly Wore: Topshop Tea Dress

Hi Guys,
Here is what I wore a few days ago :)

Black Cardigan: Topshop
Quite thin, very versatile, goes with anything!

Polka Dot Brown Tea Dress: Topshop (via the charity shop) £4.50
I spied this dress in the charity shop I volunteer in
and before I looked at the labels I thought it was topshop!
well it was, and I bought it,
Its a little on the small side in the boob department as its a 12
but I love it none the less.

Fairest of Them All Necklace: Disney Couture (gift from the boy a few years ago)
One of my fave necklaces,
very easy to wear, and has sentimental value
I got it for valentines day at least 3 or 4 years ago :)

Black Leggings: Primark £3
Seriously the best leggings ever
very high waisted and never fall down
I've been back and bought 2 more pairs since!

Tan Loafers: Office £50 ish
I wear these all the time, literally my go to shoes,
kinda expensive but so comfy and good quality leather

Leopard Print Bag: River Island (sale last year) £15
I love this bag,
I always feel a bit posh when I'm carrying it
I don't know why, it just looks expensive even though it wasn't

Lipstick: Either Mac Neon Orange, or Mac Morange
I wear them both regularly and they pretty much look the same!

What's your best charity shop bargain??

Hi Guys,
Here is an outfit that I wore last week and forgot to post about!

but I went in whilst shopping with my mum, and there was so much lovely stuff!
I was very surprised and will definitely be going back :)

Black & Gold Belt: Vintage £4 (Charity Shop)
Being unemployed for the first time since I've been old enough to work

and although I loved charity shop shopping before, I love it even more now!

Dark Blue Skinny Jeans: ASOS (sale)

Tan Loafers: Office
My go to comfy shoes.

Gold & Green Collar Necklace: Vintage £4 (Charity shop)

This necklace was technically free as I got it in a Tatty Devine swap/trade

and if you're wondering the lipstick is Mac Neon Orange, which I love
but actually can't tell the difference between that and Mac Morange
both of which I own

I liked this outfit muchly, but since these photos were taken
I have said goodbye to the semi mullet I had going on there:)

New Arrival: Make-up and More!

Hello ladies,
Its struck me in the last few days that I've bought quite a few things in the last couple of weeks
And strangely for me, a lot of it has been make-up!
So I thought I would share with you what I've been buying

Above is all the make-up!
including
5 lipsticks
6 Nail Varnishes
9 Make-up Brushes

Got loads of new Brushes
the white ones are models own, I'm really pleased with them considering how cheap they are
The silver are Ruby and Millie
and the wiggly black ones are Sonia Kashuk from SpaceNK
love the brushes, but they took forever to arrive and spaceNK charge a lot for postage.

Nail Varnishes,
Im loving the Greige trend, started by Chanel's elusive colour Particuliere
Models own had 50 percent off a couple of weeks ago
so I took full advantage and bought a lot including these 4 nail varnishes,
the 3 brushes and a little pot of loose navy eyeshadow.
I also bought this colour by Essie - Chinchilly
the Chanel jade green dupe by Barry M
and not pictured OPI's you Don't know Jaques

I bought my first lot of illamasqua too,
they had a 50% off section
So i bought 3 cream eyeshadows
In a shimmery white, taupey grey and black
I really like them, but have had trouble stopping them slide around my face, any tips?

I've also bought some lipsticks,
3 from Barry m, in pale pink, lavender and nude
and a nude one from illamasqua also in the sale
I love love love the three Barry m lipsticks, really moisturizing and fab colours
I love the colour of the illamasqua one, but I've broken it already
Its all wibbly wobbly at the base, so I think I've managed to snap it
which is weird cos I've never broken a lipstick in my life :(

I don't know what to do with it now, any ideas?

I literally could not believe my eyes when I saw Henry Holland tights in TKMAXX
Above are just three, but I ended up buying 9 pairs in the end
Loads of designs in blue pink and purple.
They are actually super comfy too, they feel good quality.
I also bought more tights from H&M and am planning a tights post!

I got this spotty dress from New Look, should have been £28
but it was reduced to £20 and i got 20% student discount on top of that.
Also I bought a new snood from Topshop
I love the nude colour and its really long
perfect for my how to wear a snood post!

I got an Eiffel tower t-shirt from topshop
using a voucher that I got for my birthday off a lovely friendling

Still a sucker for spots,
I couldn't resist this top/dress from River island,
I love the style and frilly hem
just wish it was a bit longer

And just in case you were wondering,
I decided to keep these boots in the end
I love them, and have worn them quite a few times already!

I also spotted Ugly Betty series 3 for £17.99 on play.com and I had to get it
I now own all 3 series, perfect for a girly night in

PHEW
I have bought a lot,
and that's not even all of it,

Night Night girlies
