What Milly Wore: Valentines with Asda!

Hi everyone, Hope you've has a lovely valentines!
Whether your taken or single, its a great excuse to get dressed up :)
You may or may not know I've been with my boyfriend Neil for just over 9 years,
and we're not really into going out, so we've had a quiet night in and it's been lovely.

I was lucky enough to be sent this gorgeous outfit to wear by George at Asda

I chose this gorgeous knitted dress
It's called the Graduate Fashion Week Knitted Midi Dress and is £18
it's currently sold out online, but you may be able to find it instore.
Or they have a similar one in a maxi style here

Designed by the winner of the knitwear award at Graduate Fashion Week Caitlin Charles-Jones
It's black and orange, and has a gorgeous geometric illusion pattern on it
and it's very slimming and flattering.
I got my usual size 14, but actually could have sized down to a 12.

I was also sent a surprise accessory!!
which was this great gold and black necklace with triangles that is £6
it goes really well, with the shapes theme and it's a good length for the neckline

I wore my asda goodies with:

Long sleeved black t-shirt (underneath) - Primark

Long sleeved black cardigan - New Look
It's pretty cold so layering up was essential!

Black Leggings - Matalan

Black Leather Waist Belt - Warehouse (many moons ago)

Black leather biker boots - Clarks Majorca Sun (lasy year or the year before)

Black leather barrel bag with gold studs - Deena and Ozzy - Urban Outfitters (sale last year)

New Arrival: Summer Haul!

I've bought quite a lot of lovely things recently,
(I got paid from my lovely new job so I'm feeling a lot less poor)
so I thought I'd do a quick post to show you everything!!

Jubilee Print Dress £28 River Island

I bought this dress a couple of weeks ago and It's just gorgeous
I've worn it 3 times, and can't wait to wear it again!
Unfortunately it's now sold out online but it's worth checking your local store,
and they've got some other cute British themed dresses.

This dress is so pretty
I love the floral print and it's 70's style
It comes up pretty big so size down,
and I'll deffo be cinching my waist in with a belt,
or it could look a little tenty!

Clarks are currently doing 20% off everything
So being a clarks fan (hello comfort!)
I popped down to my local shop.
I was not looking for anything like these but I spied them on display
and just had to try them on, and once they were on my feet
well I just had to have them.
I do not do heels at all,
but I can actually walk in these, and they're so so yellow!
The sandals are ahmahzing!
I saw them on London Beauty Queens blog (here)
and ordered them straight away.
I do not like my feet very much,
but if I'm going to have to get them out
it might as well be in these babies.

While I was ordering my sandals,
I came across this t-shirt dress
I think it's good value for £25,
it's comfy and looks fab on.

I bought a couple of chubby sticks when they very first launched
and now they've bought out new colours I had to go back for more
So I now have:
Chunky Cherry
Mega Melon
Woppin Watermelon
Pudgy Peony
& Oversized Orange
I just can't get enough of them!
I've now got my eye on Voluptuous Violet & Two Ton Tomato

What have been your favourite buys recently?

Lust After: Where have all the flowers gone??

You probably know by now that I love a good limited edition,
or a collaboration resulting in something special.
Well today I was browsing the Clarks website
and came across these fab unique pieces.

The best thing about Clarks is their comfort,
but they are coming out with some cracking designs at the moment,
and these are my faves:

Do you have any Clarks shoes in your wardrobe??

What Milly Wore: Mary & Charnos Armery

Hi guys,
hope you're surviving the cold!

I was lucky enough to be sent a pair of Armery by Charnos to try,
as part of the Charnos Blogger Challenge.
I was asked to style my Armery any way I like
to go up against the other bloggers on facebook!

But what are Armery I hear you cry? (I swear I can hear a few of you!)

You may have heard of them if your a fan of Mary Portas & watched Mary queen of frocks,
if not they are quite a simple but ingenious concept.
They are basically tights, for arms!
If like me you are not a fan of your upper arms,
they do a great job of covering them,
whilst supporting and slightly holding you in.
Most importantly they do all of the above without adding bulk.

I was sent my Armery in Indigo, in a M/L which fit perfectly (I'm a 14)
I tried them on with all sorts of dresses that I normally don't wear without a cardigan,
and I can honestly say they are brilliant!
They look sleek and stylish
and most of all dont look like you are trying to cover up if you get what I mean!
They are really stretchy and opaque,
and go with almost everything.

To vote for me to win the Charnos Blogger Challenge Click Here
and 'like' my picture
I'd really appreciate it, I could win some more Charnos goodies!
So here is how I wore mine:

Indigo Armery: Mary Portas for Charnos
Chinese Fan Printed Dress: Trollied Dolly
Black Treggings: Next

(close up of print on dress, Isn't it pretty! Love the indigo background colour)
Flower Hair Band: Accessorize
(It's deffo not a fascinator, we all know how much Mary Portas hates those)
Navy Blue Leather & Suede Boots: Clarks (Style Name Knitting Yarn)

(Here's a better picture, I love them they make me feel Victorian!)

So yes,
overall a brilliant product,
If you like they way I've styled them,
please go over to Charnos Facebook page and vote :)

Lust After: Bold Biker Boots

Hi Guys, It's that time of year again
when I start to obsess over boots,
yummy leather good quality boots
generally studded, and most of the time black
here are the best styles I've found this year:

These are pretty much the Ultimate biker book,
I wrote about them last year and I still wan't them
I cant pay that much for one item though!
Available in different finishes (Brown / black leather, gold / silver studs)
If you can afford it, go for it
they will last you an age!

I don't remember seeing this style from Ash last year
but they are gorgeous!
The star studs are just fab
and I love the vintage feel of them
(they come in tan or black too)

Similarly this style from Ash appears to be new
and I like it because it's a little less punky and chunky
and a bit more feminine and fashioney!

The boots are gorgeous!
I found these by Kurt Geiger, and although still expensive
they are quite a lot cheaper than the ones from Ash
I chose these because they are unique and different
I'm sure you wont find a similar pair anywhere else.
They are also a lot less harsh,
and would go really well with quilted and wax jackets
for a more countryside feel.

These boots from ASOS are a pretty good price
Black studs on Black suede with a zip detail down the middle
very fetishy!

I really like the different colours and finished of the studs on these
especially the rose gold!
These come in this lovely distressed Brown and an equally stunning Black

These are great if you're after a plain versatile black biker boot,
these would go with everything, from skinny jeans to leggings and lacey dresses
They are a pretty good price at £70 aswell.

These boots from Carks are a little bit chunkier and more solid
they look very well made and I'm betting from Clarks they would be comfy!
I really like the Faux Fur trim on them as an extra added detail.

I like the serious amount of buckles on these!
I love how Clarks haven't played it too safe
and have done something a little different.
At first I though with all the buckles and laces they would be fiddly to get in
but actually there is a simple zip on the inside so they are easily put on!

These are somewhere between a biker boot and a worker / combat / military boot
I love the battered feel they've got
and the fact they are lace-up too.
The more you beat them up the better they would look.!
great to wear casually everyday.

I love these boots and have tried to order them
but I got an email saying they were now out of stock in my size :(
What a bargain though, at £29 it would be stupid not to buy them!
Such good quality leather, and I just love the chain detail.

Last but not least are these Gold beasts!
I couldn't not feature them, they are so bad they are good right :)
I love a bit of tackyness.
In all fairness these do come in your regular black or brown too
but I thought the gold was eyeblindingly amazing!

So that's my round up of this years ultimate Biker boots
hope it was helpful,
let me know if you are thinking of purchasing any boots this year
if so what kind??

xXx
