Lust After: Topshop New Arrivals

Topshop are really hitting the nail on the head at the moment

Here are just a few of things I'm lusting after atm
p.s I may have already ordered some of them!

This arrived in the post today,
no idea when I'll wear it but it's gorgeous!

I now really feel like I NEED the matching trousers!
Black Lily Biker Leather Ankle Boots - CJG for Topshop £150
I really liked Chloe Green's designs last season
but they were all far far too high.
These rocking biker boots are far more me.
Sqqquuueeee
As a blogger I have a genetic predisposition to coveting anything rose gold.
I love these an ungodly amount,
I'm so tempted to just order them right now,
but I'd be so sad if they went in the sale after Christmas!
These are so versatile,
go with anything,
covered in studs, what more could you want?
And they also come in black!
gorgeous shiny leather
these look super expensive and designer
get in my wardrobe!

Review: Fanpac London Rock T-shirts

Hey guys,
Look I managed to get my beardy boy on the blog!!
We were sent these amazing t-shirts by the lovely people at Fanpac London.
They sell officially licensed rock t-shirts with awesome prints on the front.

I chose their Blondie tee,
all their tees come in relaxed unisex sizes,
I got a M and it fits perfectly (I'm a size 12-14 on top)

The boy is the biggest rock fan I know, hes hugely into prog rock,
so when he saw the Pink Floyd one he knew it was for him!
He got a L as he's pretty broad shouldered and tall, and it was fine.

Their tees retail at £19.99
and they are really worth the money.
They feel really soft, the prints are fantastic quality,
they keep their shape and wash well
So overall we are both really pleased!

 I Wore:

Blondie T-shirt - Fanpac London
Black Jeans - Marks & Spencers
Studded Leather Jacket - Religion
Luxury Jones style boots - DIYed by me!

Review: Guerlain Météorites Teint Powder Compact

Hey guys
Todays post is a review of Guerlain Météorites Teint Powder Compact
that was sent to me by the lovely people at Debenhams
and a bit of a fotd while we are at it :)

I've wanted to try any of the Guerlain meteorites poweders for so so long.
I remember my Nan having the Voyage compact when I was little and I always admired it!

It comes in a lovely little velvet pouch
and as it's the compact rather than the loose powder/balls its super easy to take with you places.

The packaging is really cute,
the pattern is classic Guerlain but with a modern twist
obviously it's not as luxurious as the Voyage compact,
but it still feels really good quality.

I chose shade 01 Rose as I am super pale,
and it's perfect for my skin tone.
As you can see I've worn down the pattern, as I've used it pretty much every day for 3 weeks
so it's had a thorough test!

Here is a swatch,
on bare skin there is not really a lot to see,
it's pale skin toned, with an ever so slight shimmer.
It it more matte than I had imagined,
especially compared to the meteorites shimmer balls I've tried.
I really like the combo of mainly matte with a tiny bit of shimmer
as it works really well to set your foundation,
giving you a finish that is slightly glowy without being glittery or too shimmery.

Here is what it looks like on, on top of my foundation with some bronzer aswell.
I used it all over my face with my kabuki, adding a little extra on my eye bags!
It only has a very slight colour but it works fantastically well in comination with your foundation
to create a flawless look.

Make-Up:

Benefit That Gal as my primer

Lancome Tient Idole 24H foundation in shade 005 (palest)
mixed with a little of Maybelline's bb cream in light
with a squirt of Mac strobe liquid
(to make the Lancome foundation less high coverage and a little more glowy)
to set and finish my foundation

With the Mac Wonderwoman Mineralise Skin finish in Pink Power as Bronzer

For my eyes I used the Soap and Glory Eyeshadow quad in  brown/neutral
a Brown no 7 eyeliner
and a miniature Clinique mascara

On my lips I used a Clinique chubby stick in Oversized Orange

Overall I'm really pleased with the product,
It works really well, and I would choose it over anything else I own to set my foundation.
The smell is quite strong, but I like it
(but it is something to consider if you are funny about that kind of thing)
It's quite pricey but I think it's worth the money
especially if you can ask for it as a birthday / Christmas present.

Have you tried any of the Guerlain Compacts?

Halloween: The Icons

Hi guys,
I'm not normally one for posing content not created by me,
But simply be just sent me this to post and I thought It was a great read
and might help inspire you if you are going out this week!
Hope you enjoy :)

"You've been good all year and now it's time to let your wicked side out… and look devilishly good while you're at it!

You don't have to be scary this Halloween; the best outfit inspiration comes from some of the most stylish - and sexy - characters in history, so why not look even hotter than usual by taking inspiration from some of these bewitching characters?

Cruella de Vil
Greet the witching hour with a glint of pure glamour-loving evil in your eyes as Cruella de Vil. You'll need the biggest fur coat you can get your mitts on - faux fur, obviously - and a slinky figure-hugging black dress. Faux fur is in right now too, so it'll be a wardrobe investment not a one-night-wonder! She may be a tyrant but Ms de Vil knows how to get glam, so reach for the elbow-length gloves and statement rings to wear on top.

Let's face it; the most recognisable thing about this puppy-snatching meanie is her two-toned hair. You don't have to reach for the dye - are you mad?! - just get some spray-in colour or hotfoot it along to the wig shop. If you can't find the perfect monochrome tresses, why not cut a black and white wig in half then sew them together?

When it comes to makeup, thick dark brows with a suitably evil high arch are pretty much all you'll need, but feel free to slick on a coat of red lippie if you want to get people wondering why they never realised Cruella was sexy before!

Cat Woman
You don't have to be stick-thin to rock a skin-tight look; in fact, womanly curves just make this outfit a million times better! Black leggings and a matching polo neck jumper are perfect, then just pop on some cat ears or make your own with a headband and felt triangles. To work the mysterious look, create an eyemask from a piece of wide ribbon with large eyeholes.

For that feline allure, define your eyes with liquid eyeliner and wing it out at the edges - meow!

Bride of Frankenstein
Being the love-interest of a series of patched-together body parts may not be a particularly glamorous pastime, but the bride of Frankenstein had her charms. Work her hauntingly beautiful look with an ethereal white dress and bandages wrapped around your arms. Hair should be swept up with a hint of curl or crimp to reference that spark of life you've been ignited with - at last, frizz is acceptable!

Go as dark as you dare with your lipstick and eye makeup, and forgo the blusher or bronzer - there's only a mad scientist between you and the grave, remember!

Elvira
The Mistress of the Dark is possibly one of the sexiest characters you could channel this Halloween, and it couldn't be easier. Grab yourself a long black skirt - thigh-high split optional - and team with a low cut top to show off those curves. Make sure you go for a top with long sleeves so you can attach some pieces of torn black material to give the jagged look Elvira sports. Good news girls: semi-opaque tights are a key feature of this look, so up the wow-factor with some body-shaping beauties.

You'll need lashings of eye makeup for this one. Use liquid liner to create a winged shape in both the inner and outer corners of the eye. Use blue and purple eyeshadows on the upper eyelid and socket to create Elvira's multitonal style and get the wide-eyed look by using white eyeliner pencil on the inner corners of your eyes.

Use dark maroon-coloured blusher in a thick line underneath your cheekbones to define them in a way that'll slim your face right down but is only really acceptable for fancy dress - boo!

Next comes the final flourish - deep red lipstick for a darkly seductive pout.

The White Witch of Narnia
If all you blonde-haired beauties out there often feel a bit underrepresented in the pure evil stakes, the White Witch is here to, erm, save the day. To make her icy style your own just get your shimmering Christmas dress a little early! Team the cool-toned frock with a snowy white faux fur stole for queenly opulence then set to work twisting or plaiting your tresses to copy the White Witch's long dreadlocks without the long-term commitment.

Ok, so you might not be able to lay your hands on a crown made of icicles, and even if you could, who would want the associated brain freeze? So stick to a silver hair accessory and go as big and dramatic as you fancy.

Makeup should be used to create a pale, uniform look for the face. Use foundation and loose powder as a base, but go over the eyebrows and eyelids, too. Lips should be as pale as possible, so get hold of a peachy lippie. Now all that's left is to practice those bone-chilling gazes…we've got goosebumps already!"

Aren't those illustrations gorgeous!
Thanks again to simply be for providing me with such a brilliant post
Happy Halloween everyone!
Milly

so I've heard of Ecco before and was aware they are supposed to be comfy!
However I was not aware of this new fab design.

They are billed as being the most comfortable heel around
and they bloody well are!
I do not do heels, I just cant walk in them

I wore my gorgeous patent shoe boots with:

What Milly Wore: Bird Print Bag from Bank Fashion

How gorgeous is this bag??
I know right, such a cute floral/bird print!
I was lucky enough to be asked by Bank fashion to review an item from their website.
after having a good mooch I came across this lovely bag by Paul's Boutique
and knew this is what I had to pick!
Now if your a regular on my blog, you might know that I'm already a Paul's Boutique fan
I own a few of their bags, but to me this one is just a little bit special!
I love the whimsical twee print,
it feels a bit more sophisticated than some of their bags, but still fun.
Here is what I wore with my bag:
Black tunic dress with gold stud detail: Topshop (quite old)
Blue Jeggings: George at Asda (super comfy and cheap too!)
Burgundy Leather Boots: Office (£90ish a few years ago)
Butterfly Print Kimono Jacket: Matthew Williamson @ Debenhams (£15 Sale)
Isn't this jacket cute, it's great for this in between weather,
and the butterfly print is really bright and eye-catching.
I got 4 compliments on my bag today (the first time of using it!)
which goes to show how fab it is!
I will definitely get my use out of it,
its a great size to fit a lot in without being huge.
It was delivered very quickly,
and I just think it's really unique and quirky!
Thanks to Bank fashion for asking me to review it :)

Have you shopped at Bank before?
Are you a Paul's Boutique fan?

What Milly Wore: Simply Be Fur Collar Coat

 Hi guys,
I was fortunate enough to be contacted by
and asked to review a product of my choice.
I'd heard of Simply Be, but never tried their products before,
so I was interested to see what they had to offer.
Looking through their website there were lots of items that I liked
and coming from a family of curvy ladies I was pleased to see that their size range was so good
with most items starting at a size 14 and ending at a 32
I chose this gorgeous 'Tweed Coat With Fur Trim'
as I was looking for a new coat for autumn, and this style looked very designer to me.

I ordered a size 14 which I found fit nicely, slightly oversized which I like.
My coat was well packaged and arrived very quickly.

The first thing I noticed about the coat was the gorgeous faux fur collar
it has such a luxurious vintage vibe, and feels super soft.
I also like that the charcoal tweedy fabric has flecks of darker and lighter greys,
so it's great for going with everything but doesn't look boring

It looks lovely undone or done up, and fastens with chunky buttons
It had decent sized pockets which impressed me
as there's nothing I hate more than a faux pocket!

I also love that the collar is removable!
which I had not realised when ordering,
meaning you get two very different looks in one :)

The fur trim / collar can also be worn on its own as a stole,
I think it would look great vintage tea dress.
Fur Collar Coat: Simply Be £95
Jersey Zip Dress: H&M
Indigo Jeggings: M&S
Grey & Black Tweedy Buckle Boots: Carvela Kurt Geiger
Mexican Skeleton Necklace: Tatty Devine (Sale £25)
Pink 'All About Me' Lipstick: Topshop

Overall I'm super chuffed with my coat
and I'll definitely be recommending Simply Be to my friends and family ;)

Lust after: Dr Martens Heart Shaped Satchel

My first ever blog post back in July 2009 was about heart shaped bags

Well it seems my tastes have not changed that much
as I'm currently obsessed with these heart shaped leather satchel bags
I'm a fan of Dr Martens, and of Agyness Deyn and it's a match made in heaven!

at £140 each they are not cheap
but I really feel like I need one in my life!
I adore the lilac, but I'm not sure it's the most practical colour for every day use
The black would go with everything, but it's a bit boring.
I think I'd probably go for the cherry red, as it isn't too bright
goes with a lot, but is more exciting than black.
Saying that.... I really do like the lilac!

What do you think of these?
Have you seen anything of the rest of the collection?
