What Milly Wore: Swishing and BBQ

Hello dear readers
I just wanted to take this opportunity to thank your for taking your time to read
and sometimes comment on my blog

I really appreciate every single person that enjoys my blog!
I've lost 2 or 3 followers recently which in a way has puzzled me
but also made me think that perhaps they weren't following me for the right reasons anyway!
I hope the rest of you still like what I do!

So here is what I've been wearing this week!

On Wednesday I was having a day sorting out the house
but when I did venture out this is what I wore:

Streetlight Long T-shirt: River Island - £5
Ripped Jeans - £10 religion @ ASOS (dyed dark blue myself)

Multi Coloured Quilted Bag: ASOS £5 (last year)

Skull Necklace: Mawi @ Cocosa £39 reduced from £85

Jewelled Short Cowboy Boots: Russell & Bromley £195 (reduced from £295)

On Friday I helped host a swishing event!
For those of you that don't know what swishing events are
its where ladies get together bringing clothes they don't want any more and swap them!

It was a great success and all in aid of cancer research U.K
In my capacity of fashion adviser this is what I wore:

Embroidered Oversized T-shirt: Topshop Sale ( last year)
Geek Glasses: Topshop
Utility Belt: Tokidoki for Lesportsac @ TKMAXX
Jeggings material skirt: New Look £5

My First FOTD

So yesterday I was pretty pleased with my hair and make-up
so I snapped a few pictures before I went to work

So this is my first FOTD!

My skin is pretty bad atm, (very red, a few spots)
So I wore full coverage foundation and powder

I Used:
Borjois Healthy Mix Foundation (palest shade)
mixed with
Gosh Liquid Foundation (palest shade)

I have found this works really well for me,
as the gosh one is a good shade for my skin, but it makes me look like a ghost
and bourjois is a little dark but adds a glow

I set this using
Too Faced Candlelight Pressed Powder
which is seriously the best thing I have ever bought make-up wise
its a very pale gold, super shimmery powder and I love the effect it gives

I then used Estee Lauder Peach Nuance
(very similar to mac ripe peach)
to add some colour back into my cheeks

On my eyes
Too faced eye primer
3  eyeshadow colours (white, pale turquoise, and a darker turqouse)
from my 120 colour palette
Urban decay transformer potion with the darker turquoise to line the outer bottom lid
Urban Decay 24/7 liner in black on my water line
Loriel Million Lashes Mascara
(on that note, its not amazing, just another mascara)

Lips
Mac Pink Fish Lip Tint (Hello Kitty)

And Ive just bleached and pinkified my hair again
much lighter pink,
more candy flossy
I love it!

and I am still forever in a struggle to get big hair!

any comments much appreciated!

New Arrival: Clarks Wave Shoes

As you may or may not know
I work in a traditional style shoe shop that sells Clarks among other brands!
When I was at work yesterday,
we had a delivery of shoes that I got quite excited about!

Clarks wave are another one of those concept shoes!
Clarks focus on the fact that they are comfortable and enable you to work further
They are comparable to the likes of Sketchers toning range,
fitflops, and mbts
I've been a great fan of fitflops for 3 years now,
although I own over 100 pairs of shoes
I do find it difficult to find something truly comfortable,
and that's what I found with fitflops
the downside to that is that they are a summer toe-post
they make wintery cloggs and ugg boot styles but not a proper shoe!

For me Clarks Wave fill that gap!
I chose a style Called ' Clarks Echo Wave'

In my opinion they don't look too bad at all
usually anything with a toning, comfort or 'rocker sole' emphasis end up looking rather ugly
almost orthopaedic *cough MBT*
but although these look chunky, they are actually pretty non-descript
which I like for work

They retail for £54.99
and they do other womens styles
and mens styles too!

So I got myself a pair!
I wore them just to the corner shop and back and they are so comfy!
obviously the proper test will be wearing them all day at work etc
but they are instantly comfy when you put them on

as far as I'm aware clarks haven't done much advertising about them
which I think is a shame
because fitflops and sketchers are selling crazy well,
and I'm sure people would jump on the wave bandwagon too!

So yeah,
I will let you all know how I got on with them!

What do you think??
do you like the idea?
do you think they are ugly?
would you wear them?

xXx

p.s although I work in a shoe shop selling Clarks I am not affiliated with them in any way, I paid for these shoes out of my own pocket, and decided to blog about them purely because I like them!
